About Me
Hi, I’m Emily.
I take a compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy, working with my clients to identify pain points and uncover their innate ability to heal. I am passionate about the full spectrum of the human experience, so we may explore areas such as your strengths, past traumas, present stressors, limiting beliefs, your somatic and body experiences, and others.
My goal is to create a safe environment for you to explore the parts of your experience that may be holding you back from finding peace and fulfillment. By doing so, we can make space for greater awareness and wellbeing.
Who do I work with?
While I specialize in the treatment of individuals with Complex PTSD and histories of trauma, I also find my approach is well-suited to the following populations:
New moms and moms preparing for birth or recovering from birth trauma
Individuals with anxiety disorders
People looking to connect with spirituality
Individuals experiencing both recent and complex grief
Emerging adults in the workforce
Individuals struggling with infertility
Individuals feeling stuck and seeking meaning and purpose in life

My Approach
While I largely practice from a Psychodynamic, Internal Family Systems, and attachment-informed approach, I also use a wide range of skills-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. I am also trained in EMDR, a therapeutic treatment that helps to address symptoms of trauma.
My Story
I came to this work through my own therapeutic journey.
After graduating with my bachelor’s degree from USC, I worked in the world of education, teaching dance and English as a second language. During this time, while going to my own therapy, I felt a pull to be on the other side of the chair, wanting to hold space for others seeking support. It was then I made the decision to pursue a graduate degree in mental health and I haven’t looked back since.
I love this work as I passionate about the complexity of the human experience. It is truly an honor for me to be present for individuals seeking healing.
Outside of work you can find me taking walks throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area, taking dance classes, finding new recipes, and spending quality time with friends and loved ones.
